How to make a stunning original t-shirt design at home using a plain blank t-shirt, some cardboard, scissors, tape and fabric paint. Eight easy steps and so cheap to produce:
STEP #1: create a design on cardboard
STEP #2: cut around the design and remove centre to make a stencil
STEP #3: place cardboard inside the t-shirt to stiffen and prevent bleed
STEP #4: tape the stencil into position on the t-shirt
STEP #5: brush or sponge fabric paint on open areas of stencil
STEP #6: embellish with outliners or different shades of fabric paint
STEP #7: remove stencil carefully, insert coathanger and hang to dry
STEP #8: follow fabric paint instructions regarding curing/drying time
